I use a Mac os x lion and I have a hp officejet 4500 wireless hooked up to it wirelessly. I also have a timemachine wireless as my net work. My question is: Does the 4500 support Airprint? and if it does how can I make it work with the IPhone 4s I have?

Hi,
The 4500 model does not support ePrint.
However, you can still print over the network by using the HP ePrint Home & Biz app:

(Officejet 4500 G510n-z [2EA87E]
The App. ask for the printer's e-mail address? Didn't know that it had a e-mail address...and there is no eprint botton on the printer.

No,
The App ask for your own email address in order to send an activation code for the app.
Try activating it and check for any change, otherwise try rebooting both your iPhone, printer and the router.

Make sure that your current printer model is supported by airprint. You can go to hp's site (hp.com). You would see a list of airprint printers supported by apple. I have a CP 1025nw. I was talking initially to a tech support guy from HP and he said that this printer does not support airprint printing. i did some researching from this one. I found out that you need to reinstall the nearest firmware that you have available for download. When I installed that firmware it made airprint printing possible on my ipad and iphone 4s
