Can't print on PSC 1610 using Snow Leopard

I am able to scan with my PSC 1610 just fine in Snow Leopard, but when it comes to printing, I get an "Error" comment under status. I've tried printing from several applications and nothing prints at all and there is no clue as to what is going wrong. I went to "Utility" and ran a test print, which came out fine. Help?

I found my answer to be able to finally print by downloading hp drivers for snow leopard (link: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/firmware_hardware/hpprinterdriversformacosxv106.html) BUT, now I can't scan. Still looking to solve a (new) problem.

How are you trying to scan?  Scanning in Snow Leopard is initiated through Preview, Image Capture or Print & Fax in System Prefs.

I've tried all that you've listed, but my scanner/printer now isn't showing up as an option for scanning.

Try to reset the printing system.  Right (Control) click the Print Queue in Print & Fax (Sys Prefs) and choose Reset Printing System and then re-add the printer with the + sign below the list.

I appreciate you trying to help me. I control-clicked the open print queue (I have a mighty-mouse, therefore no right/left click) and didn't get any options for anything. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Hi again. I just figured out how to reset the printing system (control click in the white space underneath the printer). I reset it, then restarted the computer. All is working perfectly now. Thank you for all your help with this...problem solved:smileyhappy:
