C7250 all-in-one - Mac OS X - I want to change the default scan settings. Preference menu is only for rotation and background color. How do I change this? I want it to stop automatically adjusting and enhancing color. Thanks

This depends on the version of OS X you are using. What software are you scanning with?

I am using OS 10.6.8. I am scanning with HP Scan. Apparently, along different lines, there is no longer a way to copy from my Mac? - I have to do it from the printer. Thanks

You tried HPScan (upper left of your screen) > Preferences? On my version this is where the resolution and other settings reside.

Sadly, yes - I tried Preferences which is where one would expect it to be. The Preference menu only gives me the option to change the default rotation direction, and change the background color. The fact that the program automatically enhances the colors and restores faded colors means that every single time I scan a picture I have to then go and uncheck those boxes. Over time, it's a considerable time waster. I'd much prefer to choose them when and if I want them. Any ideas?

You must have a different version than I do. Have you tried scanning using Image Capture (its in your Applications folder)?
