Help!
Had the printer installed but it invariably took 45 minutes before i could get the first print off - with a load of restarting and unplugging cables - nothing specific would solve the problem. But when it eventually decided to work it was fine.
Decided I really ought to download new drivers.... done it.... but its wiped it so when I try to install it it now tells me the device is not on the list.
It can't see the D5160 in the preferences - still sees my lovely antique reliable HP5MP laser printer.
But I need the colour printer working - anyone any idea what I can do next?

I really need an answer - I've tried using the contact form - it doesn't work? How do I get anyone to answer this question? Or do I give up and save up for a new nonHP printer?
I've tried to use my printer on two machines - one has mac os 10.4.11 the other is 10.5.6
I download the software from HP, then run the installer - it lets me install - then in setup it gets to pages with 'select the device' it only shows 'D5100 series' - it tells me if your device isn't listed it is not supported by this installer. and says i need to go to the HP site to download one.
The HP Laserjet 5MP works fine and I need to keep using it. I originally suspected this was clashing with the D5160 printer.
I need - a driver for the D5160 that will work - and won't clash with the laserjet. I need it to work on both 10.4 and 10.5 Macs.
