Deskjet 5650 printer. Can only print in one speed. Why did you allow this to happen?

I am still waiting for a download from your engineers. The following is part of a message that I received from Charlie in Tech Support. I am ready now to buy a new printer but I assure you it will not be a HP; not when you pull these stunts

I can assure you that it has nothing to do with ink. It has to do with the cost of testing and verification of older printers with newer operating systems. At some point it just is not financially viable.
I would recommend trying a similar driver for a DeskJets, maybe some 5800 series or even 6500 or 6600 series.
