I've been using my Deskjet 6980 happily for years. Since installing Snow Leopard, I'm having problems: frequently, but not consistently, when I print an image, there is a dashed vertical line down the right-hand side of the page, the exact height of the printed image. I'm printing a flattened TIFF from Photoshop CS4, letting the printer handle color management.
I thought it may have been a problem with that particular printer, so I swapped in a brand new Deskjet 6980 (we keep a backup), but the problem persists.
I've tried every possible different print setting in Photoshop, and in the print dialogs. It's frustrating because it's so inconsistent -- three prints in a row with the black line, then two that are fine, then back to screwed up.
Is this a known problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

a new update was available today which seems to have fixed the line issue and print quality of adobe images. Hopefully you will have similar results.
