Drivers for Mac OS 10.6

Also wondering about any drivers for HP Deskjet 3845 - worked great in 10.5, but snow leopard says it is no longer supported and to check with manufacturer.

Ditto for my LaserJet 1200n, which worked okay up until Snow Leopard (except for adding a nearly blank page after every document, which I never did crack).

Photosmart 7400 series.   According to list:  "Apple posts ..incompatibele"

The ps 7400 is not listed but several (numerous) posts on the Macworld forum indicate problems. 

Although I have family pack of 10.6 it seems a good idea to just cool it for awhile and let everyone get their work done.  And yep, I think there was plenty of time for hP and other majors to have been prepared ... but  ... that just isn't done anymore.   We are enablers and they are bottom line addicts (don't spend a nickel 'ti you have to.)

Yeah, the other thing that I heard happened from a couple of software developers is that Apple actually moving up their release date caught them off guard. One actually said when Apple says Sept we target Sept 32. I'm pretty convinced the drivers will be here soon. In my case, I rarely ever print but for anyone that prints as a regular thing or as part of their business function then going to Snow Leopard should be approached with caution. I've had few issues and what I've had hasn't been a show stopper but some I could see that would not be the case.

I have a Photosmart C7280.  After I installed OS 10.6, it prints fine, but my Macbook won't recognize it as a scanner in Device Manager.  I can use webscan as a workaround, but I want my scanner back!  I need it for business.  Please let me know if there is a new driver for this.

 Love it!!   Long time as general contractor and a lot of the subs and suppliers tend to think the same way.  Owners and users, on the other hand, think FIRST of September.

Obviously Hewlett Packard is ticking off a lot of customers with this latest crap. I have an OfficeJet 5610xi that is relatively new (less that 2 years old) and was purchased with the desire to improve my printing experience over that of my past with Epson. I upgraded to Snow Leopard this past weekend, and discovered my printer has no drivers! With this latest incident, you can kiss Hewlett Packard goodbye as far as me being a customer again.

The Officejet 5600 series is officially supported by HP on Mac OS X 10.6, try following the directions on this page to setup your printer.

Is there a driver for the Deskjet D1530? We just purchased this printer, and I don't see it on either the Snow Leopard or Gutenberg sites.

Got the Deskjet F4180 to print.

How I did it:

1. Completely uninstalled HP software - go to HP Device Manager, on the 'information and settings' dropdown at the bottom click on 'uninstall your HP software' then uninstall it all.

2. Go to www.hp.com and find your way to driver downloads.

3. Download and reinstall the driver for OS 10.5 (I skipped the feedback and registration bits).

4. Configure your printer.

It printed from Word for Mac with some lines down one side but these had gone when I saved it as a pdf and printed from Preview.

Still, proper drivers would be good.
