I have a new HP 7510. I'm trying to scan pics into my Mac Book, but I'm getting a not connected message - after I've printed a test page to assure connection. I've gone to the Apple site to see if there were software updates to OS 10.8, but there aren't any. What's the fix?

Hi,
Are you trying to scan from the HP 7510 to the Mac or from the MacBook through Image Capture?

I'm trying to scan from the 7510 to the Mac Book. I keep getting in a loop that says no connection, when I've printed a connection report that shows everything as excellent. Frustrated!

Ah, OK. Front panel scanning requires having HP Scan on the Mac. Please go here HP 10.8 Software, download and install the software. After you setup the printer and complete the installation, you front panel scanning should function.

When you install, make sure you choose "HP Recommended" The basic install does not install HP Scan.
