Hello,
I've recently updated my photoshop software from CS2 to CS4 and just realized that the Photosmart Pro plug-in isn't compatible with CS3 and above. I am trying to print an 11x17" Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl 285gsm through photoshop. I believe the ICC profile is in the right place, but I'm feeling a tad lost without the photosmart pro plug-in (formerly found under File-Automate..). There is no option to print using the specialty media tray on the B9180 and when I try to print using the main tray, the paper gets stuck (ruined!) because it's too heavy.
Is there any way to select the specialty media tray when printing through photoshop (or elsewhere) OR get the plug-in to be compatible with CS4?
Help, please!
Thanks,
Liz

Hi LIz,
I have a B9180 also. You can access the Specialty media tray from any program including CS4, from the HP Print dialog box, Paper Type/Quality menu. There's a checkbox for Specialty Media Tray at the bottom of the window. check this in combination with the correct paper size and type from Page Setup and you should be OK.
