HP Envy 100 can't print Duplex (Two-Sided) on Microsoft Word: Mac 2011? [ Edited ]

Hey guys, I recently got HP Envy 100 D410 "Special Edition" (Dark Brown wood design on top instead of silver dots). I'm using 2010 MacBook Air, Mac OS X Version 10.6.7.

When I go to File > Print on Safari, the menu shows "Two-Sided" box for me to check for duplex printing. But when I go to File > Print on Microsoft Word: Mac 2011 (Version 14.0), it doesn't show the "Two-Sided" box next to "Collated" box.

Anybody have the same problem?

I'm having the problem with pdf files on my mac.  have you ever figured it out?

Hi,

Unlike Safari, the MS-Word layout does not contains the Two-Sided selection box.

In order to perform Duplex Printing, simply click the 3rd scroll-box (Copies & Pages and then select Layout.

Set the Two-Sided option to Long-Edge binding for portrait duplexing or Short-Edge for Landscape.

Regarding PDF, Apple Preview contains the Two-Sided option, therefore i assume you are using Adobe Reader - if that's the case indeed, you should open the Print Dialog and then click the Printer button - the Two-Sided option will be listed there.

If it is any other Application, please clarify which one it is.

Thanks a million.  It was driving me a bit batty.  Couldn't figure out why Microsoft didn't support two sided printing when Open Office and all my browsers did.  (Word doesn't show two or double sided in it's help section, btw)

I was composing an angry letter to HP Support when I decided to see how many others had the same problem - you saved me from a lot of embarrassment.  Again, Thanks

Thanks, this helped me fix a problem I had been trying to fix for a couple of hours! 

Is it just me, or does it seem that the Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel) functionality on a MAC is not as good as on a PC, this case being an example..

Or maybe is it because I am a recent MAC convert...
