HP Laset Jet P2015dn & Mac OS 10.8 GM - Manual Feed tray issues

In Mac OS 10.8 paper placed in the Manual Feed try is not recognized.  With a sheet of paper in the Manual Feed tray, paper will be pulled from the Paper tray, not from the Manual Feed tray.  The printer is working fine in Mac OS 10.7.4.  I have Apple HP printer drivers V2.9 installed.

Hey jimmy,

With OSX 10.8 GM being a developer version of the OS you may experience inconsistencies with some features, and some features may not work until a full release is made and there are drivers that are designed for this specific product.

There may be a bug report or developer board made available on the Apple forums. Have you tried posting this question there? It may provide a better solution for now.

This release is a Golden Master, so things should work pretty much as they would in the final release.  I have solved the problem, however.  If  switch from ethernet to USB, the manual feed tray is recognized again.  Not the optimum solution, but one that I will be forced to use for now.  BTW, I contacted both HPs telephone support and eMail support.  In a word, they were both horrible, really beyond horrible.  Their responses will make me rethink any future purchases of HP products.  I have been using HP printers since Apple stopped making the ImageWriter.  Yes, I had the first HP DeskWriter when it sold for $750.00.  I have recommended HP to all my clients and, of course, my wife has a color DeskWriter.
