HP OfficeJet J4580 Scanning with Snow Leopard

Hello, yet another Snow Leopard problem here.

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard after already having installed the drivers under Leopard. The printer wasn't connected at the time, so no Snow Leopard drivers were installed.

I followed the instructions in this link to get it working under Snow Leopard:

I uninstalled the previous HP software, then removed the printer from Print & Fax in System Preferences.

I then added the printer again and selected it from the list. Drivers were downloaded and installed through Apple.

Printing works perfectly, but there is no scan option anywhere. Not in the Pref Pane, Preview or Capture. I even tried removing and adding it again with no luck

If anyone could shed light on why this might be happening, it would be much appreciated.

This seems to have corrected itself with a restart. Sorry, I'm not used to having to restart my Mac. it's normally a Windows thing
