HP Photosmart Plus B210 and Mac OS X 10.6.8 NEVER works

I'm so sorry to bother you again.  But my internet provider just replaced my router with a new one.  It is a Netgear N150 Wireless Router: WNR1000v2.  What are the settings for this router?  Thank you so much for your help!

Well, the settings may be printed on the bottom or back of the router.  I do not know what the settings are.  If that does not work, contact your ISP.

Printer works for first 30 seconds when switched on and then cannot be found by Mac.

What do you mean by "works"?  Does it print and then not print?  Is there an error message?  Is it connected wirelessly?  What router?  What version of OS X?

I have had nothing but trouble with this printer as well. When I was on OSX10.6 it behaved itself ok - but only when I turned UPNP off on my router. When Lion launched and I went to OSX10.7 thats when the fun began. I downloaded the latest driver from the HP driver list and installed but it still remains unstable. The connection will constantly drop and you have to go through an entire routine to reconnect the devices. When I contacted HP they said they were aware of the issue and working on an updated driver. Still not seen a release yet and this printer remains officially the most annoying printer I have ever owned. Come on HP pull your finger out - surely you can see this is an issue we all want fixing. PS I understand the models are different - I have B210(a) which I am told is the worst in the range for this issue - that is from HP themselves!

For us, this printer is also HIGHLY inconsistent and I am also seeking help.

We use a mac running 10.6.8 and this morning I spent 40 minutes trying to print one page of homework. 

No success.

I cannot figure out why this printer only works occasionally. Any further advice?

I have wasted so much time trying to troubleshoot why the stupid thing will not scan it's pathetic!

I've followed forum post after forum post, installed the latest software, uninstalled the printer from the computer, reinstlaled ..restarted my computer .. all of these steps several times and the **bleep** thing STILL will not scan .. and this is with it PLUGGED IN with USB!!!

I do not typically get frustrated wtih technology ... bu this has pushed me over the top.  I'm frustrated that something like this has got me frustrated!!!!  I do not have time to continually troubleshoot something I've paid a decent amount to have work .... no time for it!

I'd expect this trouble in 1996 .. but in 2012? Come On!!

Thank you HP, you've managed to do something that rarely happens - piss me off.  Now if you'd only get your **bleep** together and build a freakin' printer / scanner that does what it's supposed to do!!!

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Ever since installing an update, advised on the display of my B210 printer, I have not been able to print from any of the machines on my home network (Mac Airport Express).

I have reset my installed printer drivers, reinstalled the main HP printer driver & software, and am still getting alternating messages upon sending a print job:

Unable to connect to printer, will try in X seconds

HP3018CE.local is busy, will try again in X seconds

Nothing happens. I then go to Print & Fax in system preferences, ad it is highlighted yellow saying it's in use.

I checked wireless settings in the printer, printed out the status report, and all seems fine there.

I have owned my HP Photosmart Plus B210 for some time, and through it was always frustratingly buggy on my mac network, I eventually figured out the workarounds to get it to wirelessly print ALL of the time, and scan MOST of the times (sometimes having to restart my mac and turn on printer AFTER mac was fully powered up).

Help!!!

Also will add that the HP Utility that comes with the install package cannot work with devices connected to AirPort, so that defeats the purpose of my troubleshooting.
