I just installed a B110a printer on 3 macbooks (all running the latest SNow Leaopard) . On two of them everything works fine, but on mine I have problem. After the first install, the HP Utility reported errors:
"Some components installed on your computer were developed for another version of HP Utility. These components will not be loaded and some functionality related to your device will not be accessible. Please click HP Support item on the toolbar to visit HP Online Support site and download the latest versions of HP software."
I checked the support webpage the HP Utility tool linked to, and it had exactly the same software for download I already have. Bummer. I did realize that I already had a printer driver for an F4200 installed (my sister's at home) and that turned up red in the display. HP Utility did show my device, but could not connect to at all.
Deleting the F4200 printer (from System Preferences Print & fax) did not help.
So I uninstalled the Utility, rebooted and reinstalled.
Now the F4200 is gone, and my B110a apparently works, but the HP Utility cannot find it at all (it does on the other two macs, installed from the exact same CD). Even the 'Add Device manually' does exactly *nothing*
what else can I do to make this all work?

Strange. After installing the HP utility from the supplied disk yesterday, and running a 'Software Update' check on my mac also (which reported no updates available), today Software Update prompts me to install an software update to 'HP Printer Software Update 2.9' and that seems to have fixed things.
