While the fax function of the HP 5610 all-in-one is included in the list, the print driver is not.
How shameless and unprofessional of the company to not at least provide a letter to Mac users on their support site,
explaining what they intend to do (or not do) about this problem with drivers. To leave users in the dark . . .
how can that not tarnish their reputation.

I'm stuck in the middle. I just spent a LONG time on the phone with Apple. I have a Photosmart C7280 with a scanner. Their web site says Snow Leopard supports only the printer function. HP's site says it does support scanning. So now I'm not sure what to do.
I went through all kinds of machinations, installs, reinstalling printers, etc. All to no avail.
I use the scanner frequently and the OCR function. It worked fine under the previous Leopard 10.5.
What can I do. I needed to scan something tonight and can't. VERY frustrating!!
Help.

My HP Deskjet Series 2300 (2360) deskjet printer works only on the Linux Foundation's hpijs driver 3.9.2. You do have to download and automatically install all three components in reverse order as follows: 1. GLP Ghostscript; 2.Foomatic; 3hpjis 3.92. Then go to System Preferences and set up your printer to use the new 3.9.2 driver. Use the following direct url for D2300 series: http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/Mac
The GimpPrint did not work for me

I also have the C7280 and while you can scan using Apple Image Capture or Preview, the OCR capability is gone unless HP comes up with a fix. The only alternative is a third party OCR and until they come up with patches those may or may not work with snow leopard. I've heard Apple took everyone by surprise with the early release of OS X 10.6 and now they are struggling to catch up. I may try Readiris pro 11 as I found it for $59 and they say they will update it to work with 10.6. Reportedly it is working for some people now.
I wish hp would tell us what is going on and when/if they expect to have a fix.

Timely help would be REALLY appreciated.

My LaserJet 1022 prints in Snow Leopard. But it takes triple the time it did in Leopard to print! Can HP or Apple help on this? The print quality is bad too... the dithering on graphics is ugly...
Feel really bad about Apple's Snow Leopard

HP guys might want to suggest existing alternate drivers to use before they manage to release the official ones... or alternate drivers for printers they know will not be supported in Snow Leopard.
Better than nothing, at least we can use our printers.
