This a wide format printer with that I'm using with MacBook OS 10.7.3. Have installed new HP software for fix but it still does not allow me to print on 11x17 sheets - as it auto reverts to "letter" format. Even thought the printer s/w shows HP 7500, the printer window also shows Laser Jet 2800; not sure what this is all about.
Help....!!!!

Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Do you have any HP software in your Applications folder? Was it meant for 10.7?

Hello Normb_x,
Thanks for the post. We wanted to follow up with you on this one to ensure it has been resolved. Thanks for the details, showing the LJ 2800 is a great clue as far as the wide format printing. Since this model would not support wide format printing, that would explain why you can get the desired output. I've included a link below that will take you to the HP downloads for the driver software for the 7500 should you need to install again. It is also available via ASU. Good Luck!
