Have an imac MAC OS X version 10.6.7 will print from HP psc 2410 but will not scan

My HP psc 2410 will print from my mac but will not scan, it is not recognised in the HP setup assistant, all connections have been checked, obviously it prints, i tried downloading all available update etc

Hi Jimmythejock, The PSC 2410 does not have a full software solution for Mac OS 10.6. You can print using the biult-in print drivers but the HP software on CD or available downloads will not work for scanning. However, in Snow Leopard you can use the built-in scan interface.
