How can I add my 6310AIO back after deleting? It won't show up in list.

My 6310AIO quit printing. The error message said something about "could not be completed and check connections". I have a Mac mini and OS 10.5.8. I tried the troubleshooting tips on this website, but after deleting it from the printer list, I cannot get it to show up again to add it. It has worked fine up until today.

How is the printer connected to your Mac, by USB or network?

Re: How can I add my 6310AIO back after deleting? It won't show up in list.

It's connected by USB. I've already tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it as stated in the troubleshooting tips. I've also tried another USB location on the computer, and a different USB cable. Nothing has helped. I downloaded the drivers again and tried to reinstall, but it still isn't showing up on the computer. I've tried the "power reset" too and that didn't help. The copier and fax still work fine on the printer.

All of my other USB devices work, including another printer that I tried.

Well, it's back and working again. I disconnected the power from the wall and printer, and the USB cord, then put the power cord back, then the USB, and it showed up in the printer list. Hurray!
