I have a brand new OfficeJet 6700 and a macbook running OS X 10.8.
How can I get it to work with my computer? The CD says it only works with 10.5 or lower which seems incredibly out-dated for a brand new printer. Is there an update I can download? I tried downloading the driver from the website, but I got the same error message.
Thank you!

Hi BlueRiley,
Indeed the CD might not contain the latest drivers for your device and Mountain Lion. You can download the software from this link: HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver - Mac OS X 10.6, OS X 10.7, OS X 10.8
Or you just connect the device and add the printer - make sure to choose the printer model next to Use instead of AirPrint. You will then get a message if you want to install software now - this will install basic HP drivers for Printing and Scannig (via Image Capture, Preview or Print & Scan) via the Apple Software Update.
