I just downloaded the latest Lion drivers for my Pro 8500 A910. How in the Print Dialog do I select which of the printer's two trays I want to print from.
One suggestion here on the Board was to look in the Layout drop down for "paper feed" optoin (although, this was for a different printer, I thought perhaps it would be consistent). No such option.
Any ideas?

When you start a print job (with File > Print or Command-P), click the "Show Details" button. Now, on the lowest pull-down, choose "Paper Handling".

With Paper Handling selected I don't see any buttons, other pull downs, etc. where I can choose a tray. I'm inserting the window as I see it in Lion.

Oh, that is strange. Do a Software Update to see if the HP software needs an update. Other than that, I am out of ideas. My dual bin LaserJet has the "Paper Feed" option just under "Paper Handling".

I downloaded Mac's 2.6 HP printer ugrade yesterday (from Mac). The HP is running driver 3.1.1 - and I'm not certain how to do a Softwear Upgrade. Can you give me the short steps.
Thanks

Please make sure to install the latest HP Printer Software Update 2.7 by clicking the Apple Menu > Software update.
If the issue persist with no change, try installing the full package below:

ShlomiL,
I apprecate your help. I just installed the "full package" as you called it, and no change. The package installs successfully, is there some method by which I need to reinstall the 8500 with the new drivers?
Under System Information I am still showing the printer driver to be 3.1.1 - the same as before I installed the package.
Thanks,
George

Hi George,
By checking the latest driver version, indeed the 3.1.1 is the latest driver..
I have installed the same printer, and finally could figure where the Tray selection is located:
Make sure to select Show Details
On the lowest scrolldown, Select Paper Type / Quality
Under the Source you will be able to select the Tray 2
