Message on my 2050 all in one printer say's it can't install all of my printers devices/uses due to other hp software being detected on the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard system. What should be my next step?

Hi revfhm,
Do you have older HP printers installed? The message you described sounds like the newer software is having issues installing over the older software.
If you don't have any older HP products on your system (in other words, the 2050 is the only product you are using), I would suggest going into Finder\Applications\Hewlett-Packard and running HP Uninstaller.app. Once complete, check this location to make sure that the Hewlett-Packard folder is no longer there (if it is, repeat these steps to remove all HP software).
Once the Hewlett packard folder is no longer present in the Applications folder, try to install again.
Thanks!
