I have a MacBook with OS X 10.7 connected to HP LaserJet Pro M1217 nfw mfp. No scan.

The supporting software does not specifically support OS X 10.7.  I've tried every way I know how. How can I fix it so that I can use the scan function? Is the 1217 compatible with my OS?

Hi,

The Software for your printer available for download from the HP site.

Only the latest version compatible with Lion, therefore it is not included on the original CD:

 

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32660/Im-80903-5/LJM1130_M1210_Full_Solution.dmg

 

Compatibility: Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X 10.6, Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10.7

 

Once completing the isntallation, you may scan using the HP Scan application, located under the Applications > HP Laserjet folder.
