Does this look like what you want?:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Press and hold Control + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard simultaneously while you click on Uninstall <<<< This IS the Scrubber Option, there is no button labeled "Scrubber"
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
Restart your Mac
Now reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

I'm sure this will not help in solving my issue, in that I'm not using a MAC. I have a regular old desktop type unit. I guess I forgot to mention that. You got any solutions for a non-MAC user? Same situation.

Please clarify your Windows operating system version.
Additionally clarify rather you have the installation disc available or not.

I use Windows XP--32 Bit, and I do have the original installation Disc, if that's what you're asking. Although, I don't see what that has to do with the scrubber, could you explain please. It's instructions for scrubber use that I'm after.

Hi,
The scrubber available within the software installation source, either within the installation CD or within the dowloaded software.
Please follow the steps below to fully uninstall teh HP Software using the scrubber tool:
- Make sure to disconnect the printer from the PC.
- Insert the software CD into the CD drive on the computer.
- If the Welcome installation screen appears, click Exit to close it.
- Open My Computer.
- Right click the CD drive that the software CD is in, then click Browse.
- From the list of folders, double-click the Util folder.
- From the list of folders and files inside the Util folder, double-click the CCC folder.
- From the list of folders and files inside the CCC folder, double-click the Uninstall_L3.bat file.
- Click OK . The software uninstaller opens in a command prompt window.
- Press Enter to begin the uninstall.Note: Make sure not to hit any key unless promted to do so during the scrubber proccess as it may terminate its operation . When you are guided to reboot the computer the scrubber has been complete.Regards,Shlomi

The scrubber seemed to do the trick. Except the problem that I had in the beginning, and was hoping to resolve is still happening, namely when I click on the Solution Center Icon on the desktop, the only thing that pops up is the Solution Center Welcome Splash Screen. The Solution Center Main Screen, where I access all of the function choices....Copy,Scan...etc; does not ever pop up. What can be done to solve this problem. Additionally, when the installation finished, and the pop up screen showing the Control Panel Operations did not load completely. It came up, but, was blank, with the exception of a small icon in the top left corner...which I guess indicates that you should have a picture, but there is no picture of the control panel. Can you assist with this issue? So, I guess scrubbing did not work.

Hi,
Please try the following steps and let me know what going on:
- Open Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs.
- Locate Adobe Flash / Macromedia Flash, select it and click Uninstall.
- Install the latest Flash version using Internet Explorer (any other browser may only install a plugin for that browser) from here
- Insert the installation CD. close any installation windows.
- Open My Computer, right click the CD driver and then click Browse.
- Enter the Setup folder.
- Enter the SolutionCenter folder.
- Right click SolutionCenter.msi (can be identified by its different icon) and select Repair. Aprove any error or prompt till the installation dialog completes.
- Reboot the PC and try launching the Solution Center again.
