Hi,
My J6480 doesn't print on my MacBook. The printer is recognized by my OS, I can choose it when selecting to print. When I click on print, the item goes to the print que (a window comes up showing HP OfficeJet J6400 Series), but the item I try to print always is in a "stopped" status. I have tried various files - same problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software (version 9.7.1, dated 7-2008) - no change, always the same "stopped" status after installation is complete and I try printing again. I have connected other printers to this computer and no problems. For example, my HP LaserJet 1160 works fine. The J6480 did work previously with my Dell desktop (before my Dell died).
Any advice?
Thanks!

- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Select the printer in question and click the minus sign at the bottom of the list
- Select the plus sign and re-add it.
If this does not work, do the same thing, only instead of the second step, right (control) click the print queue area and select Reset Printing System.
