LJ 1022 not working under Snow Leopard + latest driver

After days of fumbling around with HP incompetence and unsupportive clueless HP employees I found a solution that worked for me:

All you have to do is delete the folder HP from Library/Printers/ and install the driver provided by HP here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=lj-31696-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

v1.2 Just in case "great" HP changes the URL I made a mirror of the file, that worked for me. Find it here:

After that, delete your current printer from System Preferences Print & Fax, restart your computer, Add Printer and Select Print Using HP LaserJet 1022 instead of HP LaserJet 1022, 1.2.0.224.

This should fix it.

Now the printer is working fine with OS X 10.6.2. It prints out one or several pages in correct order without leaving out any pages and without any blank pages. I didn't try duplex, nor did I try to print any envelopes. But since this was the solution for me and gave me back a working printer I thought I'd share this info.

I have had the same problem again after upgrading to SL 10.6.4, but the solution given by Fail seems to resolve it -I supose until the next upgrade, isn't it? Thanks for your help, Fail! Anyway, this problem with HP is truly a shame!

Multi-pages works, standard duplex works.

Multiple pages (without blanc pages) and direct connected by USB on my iMac i7 (Snow Leopard).
