Mac OS X Lion Setup Drivers for HP Photosmart 7510

I've been trying to install the software/driver for the Photosmart C7180 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. It wil install but when I just about get to the end, it tells me that its missing some software and can't load my printer. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

Which is it, a 7510 or a C7180?  If you are installing the software from disc, does it say it is meant for 10.7?

Let me know.  In the mean time, download and install this: HP Printer Drivers for Mac OS X v10.6 & 10.7

Wow, thank you so much. I searched all over to find the drivers and software for my C7180 but all I could find was HP installer and that kept telling me I was missing software for the printer. (I don't have a disc) The link you gave me worked and I can print now.

thank you so much you saved my day!!!....I was about to return our new HP 7510 after  downloading two drivers ...that were recommended.... and didnt work. Thanks to you we are now up and running....full capacity. Cheers and thanks!

Thank you for the information.  I have set the wireless network on the printer and downloaded the support driver.  I am still unable to manually add the printer and the Mac does not pick it up automatically.  What am I missing?  Thank you.

Let's reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Still not picking up the printer.  Wifi is on and set on the printer, but for some reason the MacBookPro is not picking it up.  Frustrating because Mac always automatically picks up new hardware.  Also, the driver software download does not show up in my application folder--it should, shouldn't it?

Maybe I should just take it back and get another model.  Do you have any recommendations?  Thank you so much.

Oh, did you install the software or just download it?  Look in your Downloads folder.  If it is there, double click it.

Hi,

Eventually got my 7510 installed, but when I scan (documents to file) it only scans in black and white.

Ive tried to change settings in HP Utility, but crashes every time.

Using Macbook pro with Mac OS X V 10.7.2

any ideas ?

HP Utility has a known problem. Scan using Image Capture (in your Applications folder).
