Mac OS X Lion Setup Drivers for HP Photosmart 7510

It is 7510.  The disc is not compatible, so I did not try it.  I am downloading software--and have actually downloaded and deleted it several times.  My computer still does not pick up the printer.  Thank you for your assistance.

Download the general HP printe software: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Restart.

Then download and install the software for your printer using the Support & Drivers button at the top of this page.

I've downloaded and installed the software but the scanner still can't be found by the Mac. Any ideas? I'm using Lion which seems more trouble than it's worth to be honest.

Have you tried System Preferences -> Hardware -> Printer and Scanner?

The Apple scanning software is not as elegant as HP Scan, but it does get stuff into your computer.

For our HP 3310 All-in-One I've gone over to using my wife's iMac with Snow Leopard and emailing the files to my MacBookPro with Lion.  The ease of use of HP Scan makes that extra step worthwhile.

Let's reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Now, scan using Image Capture in your Applications folder.

I clicked on the link listed and there was no choice for Lion users, just MAC OS X. So I am confused on how to download the drivers in order to print?

I have a brand new (2013) iMac.  I tried to connect my HP Photosmart 7510 all-in-one last night.  I first tried through the Apple Software Download, but there was none to be downloaded.  So then I downloaded the driver from the HP site.  I got to the point in setup almost to the end, but it woudl not recognize the printer.  I followed the instructions about the setup on the printer pad and it shows that it is connected to the network. My computer is just not recognizing it.  Any suggestions?
