The software of Officejet Pro 8500A Plus (version 12) don't Work with Mac OSX Lion. New release?

For now. simply connect your printer to your Mac (by usb cable or connrct it to the same network).

Enter the System Preferences / Print & Scan and add your printer.

Install any HP software update by clicking the Apple Menu > Check for new software updates.

The printer driver will be installed automaticlly, including Printing, Faxing and basic scan by using the Apple scan interface.

 

The full feature solution is still in progress and will be published withing the HP website soon.

This is BS!!!

 

I have spent hours on my 8500 trying to get it to scan. NO HOPE.

 

Aside from the paper feed that has never worked; aside from having to re-boot the printer every time I want it to connect to the computer; aside from the smeared printing that is standard; this is a very crappy all-in-one.

 

I will never buy hp again.

Same problem. I can print from the computer (wifi network) and copy. Cannot scan to the computer as the printer does not recognize the computer (even though the computer recognizes the printer!). Using Lion and the OfficejetPro 8500 PlusA
