Mac w OS X 10.7.4 won't print photos to photosmart 7510. Says tray is empty. printer squeals.

I'm using a Mac with OS X 10.7.4. I'm having trouble printing from photo tray on photosmart 7510. Is there a set of instructions for this? Is there a glitch between Mac and printer? Is my new printer no good?

Please follow the steps below in order to print using the photo tray:
