Is there any way I can install JUST the drivers needed to print and scan from the C309g and not install the rest of the software? the install process doesn't seem to offer the option. I'm using Mac OS 10.5.8.
The complete Photosmart Studio software package caused problems on my Mac (constant churning of system resources that caused my Mac to slow down to a crawl). I had to do a complete uninstall of the HP printer software to solve the problem.
I'm a professional designer and do not need HP's image editing or cataloging software as I use other software tools. I also do not plan to print wirelessly, in case that makes a difference.

I don't see it on the hp support site for your printer.
Another, perhaps better, alternative is to upgrade to Snow Leopard where the basic print and scan drivers are built into the OS. No external HP software needed (yeah!).
Of course, there are other advantages to going with Snow Leopard - speed and hard drive space (I saved 10Gb when I upgraded).
Say "Thanks" by clicking the Kudos star in the post that helped you.
I am employed by HP

Thanks, Print Doc. I wish I could upgrade but I can't on my hardware. Will be getting a new systtem within the next six months or so, though.
