My Photosmart Premium has stopped printing any yellows or greens on photos! Using HP ink

My Photosmart Premium  All in One C410a is now printing photos that are way too blue -  no yellow or greens.  Am using HP cartridges, and all are at least half full.  Help! Has printed perfectly in the past.

Re: My Photosmart Premium has stopped printing any yellows or greens on photos! Using HP ink

Hi Rcutler21,

First, try printing a copy from the printer (if you haven't already done so) to see if the colors are still coming out too blue.

If they come out normal when doing a copy, we are looking at a software issue.

If they come out too blue when doing a copy as well, then it is a hardware issue (more specificly an ink system issue (printhead, faulty cartridges, etc).

Try the copy test, and post the results - we can move forward once we know where the problem lies.

Thanks!

I copied magazine page, and the colors were great.

P.S.   Also running most current software on printer.  Just checked for software updates, and it's current.

Ok, great - sounds like it has something to do with the drivers and/or settings.

What application is this happening from (or is it all applications)?

What applications have you tried from?

What settings are you using for the Paper Type/Quality menu in the print driver?

When printing, are you specifying your printer in the "Format For:" or "Print Using" box at the top?

Re: My Photosmart Premium has stopped printing any yellows or greens on photos! Using HP ink

I am attempting to print from iPhoto, which Ive done hundreds of times, and am using premium glossy inkjet photo paper (from a new package, incidentally).  I haven't changed any settings recently when printing.  News Flash - just ran a print quality report, and also checked settings.  Then I printed the same picture that i had attempted before, and it looks fine!!!  Have no idea why, but it looks like Im back in business!! Wahoo.  Thanks so much for getting me to check in so many places.  Must have done something right just now!!

Re: My Photosmart Premium has stopped printing any yellows or greens on photos! Using HP ink

My Photosmart Premium is doing the same thing.  I finally figured that if I force it to think it's printing on plain paper, it will print fine.  But if I tell it I'm using Photo Paper (or select Automatic paper type), it prints strange colors.

Has HP no answer and fix for this?????
