My new Deskjet 1000 J110A doesn't always print all of what is on the page

I am using a MacBook with OS 10.5. The printer is less than a week in my possession. I have noticed that often, something is missing from the page I am trying to print (for example a picture), and when there are links on the page, they are converted to URLs. Sometimes, also, a particular part of a page is very pale. Why can't I get the pages to print just as they appear? The quality of the print and the images is excellent, but all I want is WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), not the printer making decisions about what to print and how.

Thanks for your help.

Re: My new Deskjet 1000 J110A doesn't always print all of what is on the page

I haven't been able to see whether my problems have been solved. When I spoke to someone at HP, she told me that some higher up said that the problem I mentioned and others (such as not getting WYSIWYG for other things as well as items dropping out) was just the way Deskjets behave and that to get printouts that show what is on the page (such as not having URLs print, instead of the word links on a page, or the correct font, or photos on a page and more), I'd need a Laserjet or other more expensive computer than this one.

I'll get back to you about whether the upgrade you advised me to get helps my printer to print what I see on the page. Meanwhile, thank you for your prompt response.
