New here... Printer is funky sometimes

Hey guys, hope I can get some help/advice here on the HP Support Forum. This is my first time here. I've owned only HP printers in the past and personally, to me at least, they're either hit or miss (in terms of technical type stuff). Our HP Deskjet 3050A J611 is new and it works BUT I am having trouble aligning. I think, only THINK, that due to that issue, that the ink quality on Powerpoint notes and whatever else I print out (that aren't essays or papers) is pretty bad. It's so blurry. It's either that or Keynote, which is the Apple version of Powerpoint. I have tried multiple times to align but after I've scanned it, I always get the message that it won't read or detect the paper. Will this make a big difference w/ the rest of things I print later on down the road as long as I use this printer, or will it not matter? I just eventually gave up, after doing it three or four times now, but then I've noticed all the things I've printed out were blurry and unclear, especially the text, not pictures. In color it's a lot worse than traditional black and white or grayscale. I would HOPE it's Keynote, as I was never a fan of the Apple or Mac versions of Word, Powerpoint, etc. as I will be getting a new computer soon *hopefully!* and will be installing the regular Microsoft word processing software like MS Word and stuff. I hope this makes sense. Or should I call HP Support (If there is a help line)? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the post.  With this one, just for testing purposes, I might recommend that we copy a page or two out of Keynote and paste that into some other text editor that you have.  This will tell us if its in Keynote or the file itself.  If you see the same symptoms with the new document from another text editor, I might recommend creating a new document, printing that and checking the text.  It should not be blurry.  I've also included a couple of links below in regards to the alignment issue.  These will walk you through the steps to complete and what to do in case of error.  Good Luck!
