Sorry, when I click on Kudos, nothing happens, and how do I mark it as an accepted solution - it's not one of the options available to me.
Thanks for solving it for me, though!

I'm using an Officejet Pro K550 but I'm having the same issues mentioned in this thread. The suggested solution of going to System Preferences > Print & Scan > Printers > Open Print Queue > Printer Setup > Driver and then selecting the HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer) WORKS GREAT!!
Really it does. It lets me duplex from Word, TexEdit, Preview, Acrobat, etc., etc.
HOWEVER, once I've done a single print job, it stops working. To duplex again, I have to go through the whole process again … System Preferences > Print & Scan > etc.
In other words, it works. But it requires an annoying process to go through for every new print job.
Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

You sure helped with the 2-sided option for printing. Kudos to you. What I was searching for is how to copy a 2-sided to a 2-sided document on the Officejet 6500A. I have a MAC. Can you help???

The OIfficejet 6500A Plus provide two-sided print capabilities, there are ADF Duplex capabilities provided by the specific model.
You may find the product specification listed below:
