OSX 10.9 MAVERICK

After installing OSX 10.9 Maverick, we are now unable to scan from our HP ScanJet 8200 Scanner.

 

Is there an update coming or is there another way to fix the problem?

Since I updated to Mavericks when I scan on my Scanjet G 4050 and send the file to my HP Laser Jet CP1518ni the only thing that prints is a series of horizontal black and grey lines. I tried more than one document with the same results. I tried the scanner on my virtual machine running Windows 7 Ultimate and it prints the document correctly. Is there going to be a fix for these Maverick issues soon?

I have the same issue:

"An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to.  Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only."

 

I just installed Mavericks- now the scanner (HP ScanJet G3010)  will scan, but not save files.  1) Are you gong to release a Mavericks driver- Crazy that that has not already been done!  2)  How do i just set up my scanner without HP software, I could then maybe save uisng Scanners & Printers.  3) The scanner is not recognized in Scanners & and printers- therfore i cant use preview or images to scan.  4)  Your tutorials do not work and/ or are not related.  ...

 

Here is my thinking...If I can get Scanner to show up in Scanner and Printers I could try a different way to scan!

The above comments are the same issues we are having after installing Maverick's.  Where do we change the Read Only setting?

Same here, Scanjet 4370, fresh OSX 10.9/Mavericks install. Print black lines, error on saving.

Just the same chaos after update to 10.7/Lion.

Please update your HP Scanjet software!!!

Same thing here. Both our scanners HP Scanjet 7650 and HP Scanjet 5590 are unable to scan after installing OSX 10.9

Same here Scanjet 8290 cant write file after updating to Maverick.

The HP image capture software appears to work on Mac OS X 10.9

ICA Drivers are of no help! They work for less than a handful of HP Scanners. 

Dozens are not supported!

Please update Scansoft!
