Have you enabled Web Services so that you can update the firmware from the front of the printer?

OK. I have exactly the same problem, and the printer is two weeks old. I am clueless about "web services". What the heck are you talking about.? I will just take this pice of crap back to best buy and never buy an HP products again.

Well, have you looked for Web Services on the front of the printer (hit the Setup button)?

My printer does the same. It is hooked up to my wireless network, and appears to be updated (checked for update, and it said none found for this printer)
Any suggestions on how to fix? It flashes and says to trun off printer at least once a day.

I updated the firmware and I'm still getting the flashing almost everytime I print from my mac. PC works fine. Can we expect a fix for this sometime?

I have a similar problem on a frequent basis (2 out of every 3 prints or so). I print from a Mac via wireless. I checked for FW updates and it said there are no updates available. I purchased the printer less than a month ago. Other functions are working fine. Please advise on alternate solutions or workarounds. If it doesn't like a font or something, it should fail more gracefully than this, so hopefully it isn't something as simple as that.

Try working through this document: 'Turn Power Off then On' Message Displays on the Control Panel This should get you back up and running ![]()
