I think I found my answer in the thread titled: "HP Printing Products - HP Products with Print Drivers Support", BUT, since it also said that "the models listed may not match my model", I'll ask anyway.
I have an old HP-842C printer that I want to use on my I-Mac with OS X 10.6, but, when I load the printer software disk, I get an on-screen message that says "" 'something' doesn't support the classic environment "".
Does HP have an updated print driver disk for the HP-842C I can get to make this model work on my I-Mac ?
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,
Officially, the product is no longer supported by any OS X version higher than 10.5, therefore no drivers provided by HP as you may find listed by this document:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam
However, the printer may be used using the 3rd party GutenPrint print drivers.
Follow the link within the Introduction section to download the drivers.
Hope it helps,
Shlomi
