P1505 Bonjour OS X 10.6

Is HP working on new drivers for the laserJet P1505? If I should just go and buy a new printer, then I will. But I really like this little guy. I have been a week without printing though and it is starting to affect my home business.

I just checked Apple Software Updates and there was a new set of HP Drivers available - 1.1.0.182 I have installed these and the P1505 is now working.

Re: P1505 Bonjour OS X 10.6

This problem is still not solved for those that are trying to print wirelessly! There are still issues with the related driver as it will not allow printing if Mac continues to use WPA2 security settings instead of WEP. I have had a long day yesterday trying to work this out with HP and Mac. I am hoping that someone has a solution for this? I don't think that we should have to dummy down the security protocol to print. HP should be able to come up with a print driver for the 1505 that allows us to print on our snow leopard Mac's through a wireless connection. This printer is not that old.

Looking forward to some help.

Absolutely NOT solved. The new driver does not address the wireless printing issue. I've been waiting weeks now for HP to get this right.

This driver doesn't work it the printer is connect via Airport. HP and Apple not respect the customers not supplying the correct drivers or support your equipments. :smileymad:

Still no duplex printing with driver 1.2.0.224

Dear Forum -- I installed MacOS 10.6.2, and my P1505 printer no longer prints duplex.  I tried to fix by installing the latest driver version 1.2.0.224.  I tried this twice. Still no duplex or manual duplex option is offered in the print dialog.  Is this what is supposed to happen?

Re: Still no duplex printing with driver 1.2.0.224

I got it to work.

Remove the printer from System Preferences, Print & Fax

Plug it into the extreme or express

Go to Airport Utility

Manually Configure your Airport Base Station

Click the Printers icon at the top:

Select the printer in the list then press edit.

Rename the printer p1505 (No spaces), press OK.

Click the AirPort icon

Click Base Stations tab

Rename your Airport Extreme Name (NOT the network name) so there are no spaces and it ends in .local. (example my base Station name is Frazier5.local.)

Update your extreme or express.

Now add the printer in print in fax like you normally would, but don't rename anything!

Make sure it's using the p1505 drivers not the generic one.

Kaching! Your printing!
