Printing CDs not working on C309A Photosmart all in one on Mac OSX Lion, but works from PC.

HP Photosmart Premioum all in one C309A works fine - is plugged into Mac with USB, works wirelessl from PC.  Tried to print CDs from Mac and had no drop-down option for CDs.  Fiddled and finally did printing from PC.  Have reinstalled everything, including 26 April 2012 HP updates for Mac users and could get drop down with CD option - looking good, but then went to print a live project and no more option displayed.  It in fact goes out of the way to tell me the option of printing CDs is not available from the printer, but it of course works smoothly from PC wireless connection.  I'll keep fiddling, but has anyone come across this issue and found what the solution is?

Thank you very much - I greatly appreciate your assistance for what is likely an uncommon, esoteric, but very irritating problem for me.  I tried the options last night and welcome your introduction to the Photosmart Studio which I will definitely use in future for any number of things.  On the CDs however it didn't work - for some reason it doesn't default to a CD form but simply plunks the image as a square (with buttons to expand it) right over the centre hole of the CD image.  I wasted a couple of CDs with this and then went back to the PC and printed just fine.  I'll check at home again tonight the version of OS X (I believe it is 10.6) and will fiddle some more with the sencond option you mention and get back to you.  Thank you again for your support, I appreciate it.

Ok.  I think we are in business.  I tried the second of the links you sent.  I have to make sure to choose the correct printer in the list from "Create" and even though it tells me specifically that "The currently selected printer does not support direct printing to a CD or DVD", I proceed, select a photo or image, it puts in on paper but in the form of a CD.  Here I have to go into the "Page Setup" and make sure I choose the right printer (ie, not the fax machine with the same name C309A that somehow is installed) and then I can select CD from the drop down menu and it prints correctly when I send to print.  All good sport I suppose.   You do have a lot of various software updates and versions to track and adapt.  I'm pleased to have been able to fix this with your help.  Thank you.  If I have further problems I'll post them on this board.
