Problems with Photosmart C4580 all-in-one

and Mac OS 10.6.8.

My first problem is that everytime I print (either from Preview or from Office) the top inch of the page is cut-off.  This is incredibly annoying.

The second problem is that the printer, when printing, will grab multiple pages and print part of the document on each page (again with the top margin gone).  This seems to happen even more often when there is less paper in the tray.

Re: Problems with Photosmart C4580 all-in-one

Hey there and welcome to the forum. Lets try resetting the print system:

Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Default tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Thanks,

SeanS

Re: Problems with Photosmart C4580 all-in-one

Thanks for the help, Sean, but after going through those steps nothing changed.  The printer still grabbed mulitple pages and printed on them all and began immediately at the top of the page, forgoing any margin that should be there.

Re: Problems with Photosmart C4580 all-in-one

Anyone else out there have any fixes for this?

I've heard these are just horrible and there's no way to fix this problem.  None of the solutions I've seen on message boards have worked.

I'm wondering if there's a different driver or something I should be using?
