My HP8500 Wireless printer worked fine for scanning for almost a year, and then all of a sudden, it no longer sees my computer.  It scans to a thumb drive, no problem, which I've used as a workaround, but this is a pain. I uninstalled an reinstalled software, made sure it was up-to-date, etc. still I get the message "No Computer Detected." 


My computer shows the printer on the list of printers, and I print to it all the time.

 

I am on an iMac, using OS X 10.6.8

Hi there pikachu,

This article covers similar errors with not being able to communicate with the computer. Give the steps outlined under your operating system a shot and let us know if it helps.
