I use a Mac program called PDFPenPro to edit pdf documents. When I scan in a document with my OfficeJet 7310, the resulting image is way too big, so big that I cannot do anything with it even with lots of tech support from the SmileOnMyMac company that created PDFPenPro. It does not matter whether I scan it in to Adobe or to Preview; the result is the same. So I cannot be an issue with that software. After much discussion, I was told that it has to be an hp issue, and sure enough, when I called hp tech support, I was told it is a known issue and hp was working on it. Months went by and having seen no update to the software, I called again to see if any progress had been made. This tech had no knowledge of such an issue and categorically denied that it was an hp problem. So no, they were not working on it!
Does anyone know for sure what hp's stand is on this? Or, more to the point, is there a way to solve this problem?
