I've seen some have had success with SL and an LJ 1022, but I continue to have an issue. My LJ 1022 is connected via a USB to an Airport Extreme. I am able to install the printer with Gutenprint as the driver. But when I try to print, it hangs and eventually "pauses". Are there alternative solutions to getting this to work?

An updated 10.6 compatible updated driver for the LaserJet 1022 will be available soon. I'll post update info here asap.
sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience.

HP is pretty bad at customer support. They try to keep you busy with bugs until you buy a new printer. But keep in mind how they treated you and by a different brand next time. HP used to be good, but that was in the 90s.
Where on your homepage can I find up-to-date drivers that are working with Snow Leopard and the LaserJet 1022? And DON'T(!) redirect me to Apple. This is YOUR product and you are my partner in supplying drivers.
Did anybody get this to work? I used several workarounds:
1) Gutenprint: works ok, curves where printed with some pixelation and not very smooth. ok for texts I guess.
2) HP drivers: Then I was only able to print the first page. The following pages came out of the printer but were blank.
SHAME ON YOU HP!

Hi everyone co-desperate,
I experienced the same problems with my own LJ 1022 since 10.6, that previously always used to work fine.
I am an Apple Employee and every customer I meet with the above combination reports the same...
Buying just a new HP LaserJet model shouldn't be the solution... the 1022 still is a wonderful workhorse.
Only the first page is printing (or every odd page, if there are more than 2 pages; the even pages use to come out blank).
Wheter this printer is connected directly via USB to the Mac or via Airport Extreme/Express or TimeCapsule.... the problem remains to same.
Please HP: fix this serious problem and support your loyal and long-time user community ;o)

I'm only able to print every second page with my snow leopard / 1022 set up - this happens regardless of the application.
has an updated driver been released yet to fix this?
it seems a lot of people are having issues and HP are doing NOTHING about it.

Since HP has been silent about this for over a year, I guess all we can do is go find the HP headquarter near us and throw our still working but unsupported printers through their glass palaces payed by with our money.
This is ridicolous!
