Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

We have been pretty upfront about the issues reported with the LJ 1022, so I hardly think you can claim we have been silent about it.

Regardless,  the update through Apple should resolve issues with the LJ 1022 not being able to print multiple page pdfs.  The duplexing issues should be resolved througha  software update that will become available on HP.com once it is ready.

Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

Issues with HP Laserket 1022 (LJ) and Snow Leapard have not been sorted for over a year now (!).

The recently released HP Printer Drivers 2.4.1 from Apple (find them here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907) do not bring a solution.

The issue remains: Tried printing 3 or more pages from any document-type resulting in 2 pages get printed then a blank page and then the famous blinking printer leds. Printer has to be reastarted after every single attempt to print more than 1 page.

Now try printing a 300 pages book like this. Now that's what I call "Having fun!".

Come on guys. I'm located in germany and happy to send in my machine if you pay the post charges. Which you really should do if you're interested in resolving this. Just PM me.

Citing another HP customer on this forum which gave me one of the very very few laughs I had spending time on this forums trying to find solutions:

Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

HP clearly  do not want to know about this problem.

When you try to report the problem via email all you get is an out of warantee brushoff  = you need to pay to even report their bug to them.

This will be my last HP product purchase.

Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

I have just bought a new LJ P1102w and spent hours with useless information on the contact phone number. HP did not divulge that this was an issue on the phone, just wasted time. My computer recognises the printer as does Airport. LJ refuses to realise it isn't an ink jet. On the print queue I get 'Printer offline' whereas prefs Print and Fax says 'In use'. Sending to the print queue does not start the printer as it says in the book.

My first printer in the 90s was an HP and it was excellent.

@fl0wer000 How did this end up? Did you return the printer? Still no working mac drivers I'm thinking about contacting a german TV-tech-magazine (maybe they pick up this story).

Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

I have a similar issue except if I pause and restart the 1102w it will print two copies. I've been on hold for the past 35 minutes at 5p a minute, assume nobody is at work at HP today?

Re: Snow Leopard and LaserJet 1022

@MBJustice So you are an HP employee or what? Could you please tell me what efforts exactely HP took, to solve this problem?

Oh and btw: Lion came out and the problem still persists. Will it ever get solved? What kind of understanding of the term "service" do you guys have? Seriously. This must be a joke and if it's not it's really sad. Every chief executive should be made using the 1022 LJ with an unsupported mac. Maybe then sth would happen.
