Snow leopard and new driver work!

Just in case it helps a few. My Deskjet 3940 did not work after Snow Leopard installation. I went on hp support, found my way to my printer, downloaded the new driver that supposedly was going to work on 10.6 and... it worked! Good luck.

The Deskjet 4360 (4300 series) driver for SL is also available. I have installed it and it is working ( ver. 3.0.2) .  It is a vast improvement to the old driver ( ver, 2.1.3).  Note. After you install the driver you will need to re-add the printer in the print-fax, system preferences.  Good job HP.

MajorMatt - happy for you. My frustration continues.

I have downloaded HP drivers again. I have deleted the printer and reinstalled in Printers and fax, chose the 4300 series. I turned off the printer and turned it back on.

When I first upgraded to SLeopard  - and I tried to print, it would give me an error message and not print.

Now it says it is sending it to the printer, but nothing happens, no sound from the printer -  the document just disappears from the que. What happens and where does it go?
