Software Update … Mac OSX 10.8

Apple has provided new drivers on its Software Update. I am running Mountain Lion OSX 10.8 and have a Deskjet F4583 that I purchased when I was in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Is the new driver update compatible with the F4583, or is it only for U.S.-sold machines?  I ask because, one cannot get ink for a F4583 in the U.S., and I am worried that, by downloading and installing the software, if it is incompatible I will prevent the printer from working.

Thank you.

Hello

The HP drivers available via Apple Software Updates are compatible with HP printers WorldWide, any region, and will download in English if your OS X is in English (or other languages depending on your OS) and should work fine with your printer.

Re: Software Update … Mac SOX 10.8

I do not manage to "add printer" my officejet j6413. (I use a macbook, with moumtain lion). The preference utility goes to "Apple software updates" and fails to find the SW. Than, when I download the SW update myself, directly from Apple, the "add printer" fails - it goes to the apple site again.

Pretty frustrating.

Any idea?

Thanks

Re: Software Update … Mac OSX 10.8

Are you confirming that the driver updates have been fixed? I had to do a reimage of my Mac to get the wireless scanning software to work again.
