The paper feed on my Photosmart C4680 printer doesn't work

Hi,

I have tried resetting my printer, yet the paper feed still pulls the paper in on an angle and then jams.  This seems to have started all of a sudden.

Hi JeaniT,

If you have the paper guides adjusted against the paper and you have cleaned the feed tires there is a good chance there is a small piece of paper stuck in the paper path causing the paper to be pulled in at an angle. You may have to tilt the printer up to look into the paper path.

Thank you so much!  I lifted up my printer as you suggested and the plastic piece in the back dropped off.  I snapped it back into place and lined up the paper as you said and all is good!  Again thank you!

The feeder on my C4680 i not working. It has paper and the rollers roll but it keeps telling me out of paper, help!!

Clean the paper rollers

Follow these steps to clean the paper rollers inside the product.

Step one: Clean the rollers in the rear of the product

1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn off the product.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
3. Press in the tab on the left side of the rear access door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the product.

4. Dampen a lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess water from the cloth.
5. Press the cloth against the rollers and rotate them upward with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove dust or dirt buildup.

6. Allow the rollers to dry for 10 or 15 minutes.
7. Reattach the rear access door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.

8. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
9. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
