My Deskjet 3050A was connected to our wireless, but it has recently stopped connecting.

It now show WPS error.

We have a Linksys E1200 running in WPA2/WPA mode right now.  I have gone though the setps on the Printer a few times entering in the Code into the WPA screen on the router.  I also tired to use the WPS button on the router and still nothing.

When I sety it up origanlly it was very simple and worked right away.

Please let me know what I can do.

First, on the front of the router: WIreless > Wireless Settings > Restore Defaults.

Next, still on the front of the printer, start WPS Pushbutton mode. Within 2 minutes push the WPS button on the router.

It sounds lke the printer has become disconnected from the network.  If the blue wireelss light is blinking that is a good indicaion.  You can also print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer to see if it is connected.

If it is not connected you will have to re-connect it using the HP software.  Look for the Printer Setup and Software program in the HP folder.

Hi.  I'm trying to set-up our 3050 with our new Dlink router.  I have used the WPS button method AND the PIN method and neither of them work.  All I get is "WPS Error" on the 3050.

The DLink is configured typically (ie, nothing special).  It has dual-band (2G and 5GHz) and the wireless network is set-up with WPA/WPA2 security.

On the 3050, when trying to run the network set-up wizard from the web-based interface, I get problems.  These are most likely SSL errors with my browser -- and I probably shoud try a different brower, but it's not an option for me right now (not my machine).  When trying to enter a manual IP address from that same interface, it does not accept my settings for some reason.

I'm thinking of updating the firmware, but I wanted to check on these forums first if anyone experienced similar problems.

That, and I just wanted to confirm: in the Wireless section of the web-based GUI where it asks to enter an SSID, is this the SSID that the 3050 will broadcast (for devices to join it) or the SSID of MY wireless network that I want the 3050 to join?

Thanks.
