When will HP provide appropriate HP Printer Drivers for Lion customers? The HP Printer Drivers Lion downloads from Apple on the Mac Site states with info from HP download should work on LaserJet 1200 Printer, but it doesn't. HP knows it doesn't from the other posts I have read.
When are you going to start doing your job for your customers?

I have a C3180 printer and have yet to find the driver that is compatible with Lion. When will hp make this driver available?

Hi,
Both the Laserjet 1200 and Photosmart C3100 drivers are available from Apple Software Update, as you may see listed at Apple Site:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP
Connect the printer to your Mac, than enter System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Click the Plus Sign and select your printer.
Once the printer queue has been added, click the Apple icon and then Software update - Make sure to install the HP Printer Software Update 2.7.
If the Mac fails to retrieve the software, install the full HP Software package below, and then add the printer as described above:

Sorry, my comment was not complete. My printer works but not the scanner. The error message says "You can't open the application HP Scan Pro because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
The HP Scan Pro is intended for Mac OS 10.5.
Although the Mac OS 10.6 software is not intended for Lion, it might work with it as well out of my experience.
First, Completely remove any installed HP Software by using the Scrubber option:
Open Applications \ Hewlett-Packard and launch the HP uninstaller.
Follow the steps till you will be prompted to select your existing devices..
Hold the Ctrl, Opt and Apple keys and click on Uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled, which is why we don't run this thing all the time)
Now reboot your Mac.
Officialy, the Lion driver is provided by Apple Software Update, and will allow you to print and scan by using either Apple Image Capture or under System Preferences > Print & Scan.
In order to install a full software, you may try installing the 10.6 software below:

OK I did all of this including pulling the USB cable from the computer and reattaching, pulling USB cable from printer and reattaching. Pulling the plug from printer and restarting. The printer never shows up in the print queue. Try to add by changing the name of my other HP printer and change the driver and it will add it, but when I try to use it it is always in use or can't find printer.
Connect the printer to your Mac, than enter System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Click the Plus Sign and select your printer.
Once the printer queue has been added, click the Apple icon and then Software update - Make sure to install the HP Printer Software Update 2.7.
