after upgrade to 10.6.8 and install new driver i don't find C3180 in the list for setup.

after upgrade from leopard to snowleopard 10.6.8 and installation of the new driver ( from HP website).

The installation functionned well and then I had to do the setup and i can not find my C3180 back in the list .

The setup system gives the message that if it is not in the list , the installed driver do not support this.

Someone had the same problem? how to solve this?

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

I downloaded and installed the follwing as suggested :"support.apple.com/kb/DL907"

when I would add my printer " HP photosmart C3180" , no printer was appearing when i clicked the "+".

So intil now no possibility pr print or scan. :-(

I also checked the printer with another laptol ( windows) , this was working normal.

So cables must be OK.

OK, go to the Apple menu (upper left) and, while holding the Option key, click it and select System Profiler.

On the left side choose USB.  Does your printer show up there?  This is an indication that the hardware works OK.
